Simone Dinnerstein: Goldberg Variations

2017/18 marks the 10th anniversary of Simone's iconic 2007 Telarc recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations. Last season saw her relationship with Bach's masterpiece journey in several new directions.

In February 2016, Simone spent four weeks in residency at the Opera Garnier in Paris, performing with the Paris Opera Ballet in Jerome Robbins's seminal choreography of the work.

In the spring of that year she joined forces with Grammy-nominated string orchestra, A Far Cry, in the creation and performance of a joint adaptation of the Goldberg Variations at the Isabel Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston.

In the coming two seasons she will be touring New Work for Goldbergs, a unique collaboration with choreographer Pam Tanowitz for Simone and six female dancers. The work is being produced by Aaron Mattocks in conjunction with Duke Performances and Peak performances and will tour throughout the US.

Peter Robb of the Ottawa Citizen interviewed Simone over the summer about her evolving relationship with the work: Simone Dinnerstein finds new depths in the Goldberg Variations

Simone continues to be in demand performing the Goldberg Variations at recital series across the US and in Europe.
