New Project: Recovering the Voice of Pál Hermann

The Hungarian virtuoso cellist and composer Pál Hermann was arrested in France in 1944, transported to the Drancy concentration camp and then onward to the Baltic States on Drancy Convoy 73. He was never heard of again. Honoring his memory, this program will feature music that Pál himself would have performed, including works by Kodaly, Bartok and Debussy, as well as his own incomplete cello concerto, played here with piano reduction.
